'DJ' is the second single by Danish electronica-pop group Alphabeat to be released from their second album The Spell, becoming a top ten hit in their native country.[1]
"DJ" was released as the third UK single from the album, retitled as The Beat Is... for the international market on May 31, 2010.[2] The single has been remixed by Biffco and promoted as "DJ (I Could be Dancing)" for the single release. The single failed to make the top 100 in the UK.
In March 2010 after a performance of the album version of the track on Friday Night With Johnathan Ross in the UK. With the lack of UK radio rotations, the song peaked at #116. The track started to receive downloads on iTunes, and peaked at #92.
